The initial concept of forming a Country-Rock band was inspired by founding member E.L. Shepherd's love of the music in that genre. "The Restless Wicked" was chosen as the band's name stemming from the prevailing temperament of the Old West throughout the mid to late 1800's. A varied song list ranging from obscure covers of Dillard & Clark, Faces, Marty Stuart, The Byrds and Gene Clark, to the classics of John Anderson, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, ZZ Top, The Band, CCR, Bob Dylan and John Fogerty rolls the music along for hours like a Wild West stagecoach being attacked by banditos - designed to keep our audiences thoroughly entertained.
